For the past 6 summers Joe has focused on my edgework and as a result it has made me a versatile player. The edgework has also given me strength in the corners to enable me to stay on my feet and avoid getting knocked off the puck easily. Joe uses all areas of the ice to implement techniquies which allows you to see the ice and have more opportunities in the game. Having been taught by my dad for many years has given me the knowledge, skill and strength to compete with confidence. My dad focuses on a variety of skills and each lesson brings new results. His attention to detail and to correct weaknesses has made me a better all round player. Joe has been helping me with my skating for over 5 years and can say skating is one of my strengths now as I enter my 2nd year with the Guelph Storm of the OHL. I have never had a skating coach that has realized my skating weaknesses so quickly and put me through drills that over time made my overall skating better. Joe and Impact Hockey are simply awesome. I have been to a lot of different schools and nobody pays attention to skating and edge work like Joe. Working with Joe my game accelerated in every aspect of hockey due to his attention to details and his creative approaches which are all designed for continuous progression. My edge work, transition skating and explosion on the take off has drastically improved. Joe has also helped me with the ability to handle the puck at full speeds while transitioning from forward to backwards, from wide turns to tight turns.
